Ok got home from work last night and went to boot up my MacBook and it's dead? Not even a peep from the thing. Night before it had worked fine then I shut it down before bed with no problems or errors? I've tried all the tricks like removing the battery and MagSafe plug holding down power for 5 seconds but still nothing.

Its a MacBook black 2.2 with 2gb ram. Osx snow leopard. I brought it new dec 2007. No problems up till now.

Any ideas? Hoping it's not the logic board.

Many thanks.

Have had this happen with several laptops of different origins. A compaq and toshiba, both shut down fine, but wouldnt start up again, in both cases it turned out to be a capacitor issue (sent it to a no fix/no fee inspection place in London)

"I purchased it new in 2007"! No luck so far. Tried the above with ram etc. Going to apple store this afternoon. I'll post the damage up. Could be £450 for a logic board, OUCH! thank you for the advice. Got no computers at the mo as the other week my new build had to be returned faulty.
