As much as I would like to see this, the unfortunate consequence will be that since all the best chips have been binned into a premium pile, everyone buying a standard chip will always lose the silicon lottery.
It is not fair to all other customers.
Unless perhaps every remaining CPU is then sold at stock price minus the premium on the binned chips, which I don't see happening.
I don't see binning as a good business decision as there is too much collateral damage. I would think twice between purchasing any standard non-binned CPUs from OC.UK.
On the other hand, if there are single (non bundle) binned chips being sold at a little premium, perhaps even with delid+liquid metal, then I would be interested in their purchase.
Thoughts?
