Unhappy with Flext 25

In April I switched Anytime 200 to Flext 25 (18 month contract) as I liked the idea of being able to use my allowance for texts and pictures too.

However last month I went over my allowance and paid an extra £20 on top of my monthly bill. The same has happened this month in that my credit has run out and with still a week to go, any call I make will be extra. I'm not even a heavy user as on my Anytime 200 I only ever used 100 minutes at most.

Also it has been a year since I upgraded my phone to a SE K750 yet the tmobile site says im not eligible for any upgrade till my contract renews?

How can I negotiate a better contract and phone without having to pay much/any more and without renewing the 18 month contract?

Am sure you can change your contract if it means more money to them. Call them up.

you can only negotiate once your out of your minium contract term and when you transfered to the flext it would have started a new 18 month contract, so no phone till Sept 07 i guess

You clearly chose the wrong contract then.

There is hope though:

To make sure you're always on the best price plan, we'll check how you've been using your allowance every 6 months. If Flext is still the best T-Mobile price plan for you, we'll let you know. Equally, if its not, we'll tell you and give you the option to change to another of our great value plans.

Taken stright from the "Welcome to T-Mobile Handbook" I recieved with my welcome letter.

Looks like your due this month.

Why didn't they offer me a phone when I changed contract?
I don't understand why phones are tied to the line contract. I upgraded my phone last year without changing my price plan. Had to pay for it myself though. £120 for K750.

Well i persumed you were after a free phone, they might let you buy a phone, not sure you would have to give them a bell..

Did you ask for a new phone when you changed contract? After all if your not asking their not just going to give it anyway..

The reason I didn't ask at that time (april) is that I was happy with my K750 and thought that I couldn't upgrade my phone until this August when the 12 months would have been completed from my last phone upgrade.
