Hello all,

Just been looking around for uni cources and I could seem to find a course tailored to Computer Hardware. The only course I found find was computer science if I an correct. I have been using UCAS to find the best course and most interesting courses.

Thanks

There's electronic engineering which would be much more useful in the longer term compared to solely computer hardware. You'd be building circuits and other stuffs which will be relevant to computer hardware also.

Depends on what level, for example if you want to go to the very core of hardware like silicon chips then your really looking at Physics or Electrical Engineering. Otherwise if you talking about swapping out components and the like something like the A+ certificate, I get the impression your looking at more fundamental. Don't think you will get a dedicated degree as hardware is really Science. What exactly do you want to do, work for the likes of IBM?

You can specialise in microcontrollers in some electronic engineering courses. Have you look at how they divide after the first year and what modules are available.
