Hey people

I'm doing a presentation on

The Female Protagonist

Discuss the representation of women in film with regards to the female stereotype within modern day society.

I shall be focusing on kill Bill and Alien to show reflect how women are represented today, more powerful, respected etc.

I'd like to hear some suggestions of an older film that reflects their vulnerability?

So a film in which a woman is really vulnerable?

For a film that doesn't necessarily show vulnerability of women but more a casual disrespect of them try The Longest Yard (original 1974 Burt Reynolds version) and Point Blank. They're both actually great films as well.

I remember some really disgusting scenes in it with reference to women.

I've not watched it yet but Straw Dogs might fit with the them of female vulnerability.

On the other side for a film with a strong, if somewhat one dimensional, female character you could look to Thursday.
