Well you can bring any system to it's knees in a 3d app if you want too, it really depends on how you are going to be using it. What are you using it for, film composition, animated film, game or architectural?

I would go with a quad core and overclock it, duals arn't the way to go.

What case your got, also over budget since you original selection was, unless you already had the f3.

If you don't like MW2 you might wanna change the gfx card, its just that its clocked a little higher at the same price, that is if your not going to oc it yourself.

If you want a modular psu -> http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-031-OC

But that TX is full of quality.

Can't x-fire on the mobo. But sata 3 for future proof.

Used some this week only deals..

If you're rendering in 3d you will be far better with a quad core. I got a dual core phenom II and luckily it unlocked to a quad cutting render times in half. RAM you shouldnt need 8GB, ive got 6 in mine but i barely ever go above 4. Unless you are using a few million polys in which case its going to be slow either way ;)

Really depends on what you're doing with 3d. If you're doing games then you basically want a gaming machine. If your not then you need some serious CPU and RAM power but graphics card not so important.
