The trackpad in my unibody macbook has to be pressed down very hard for it to recognise a click. Is this something that i can fix myself or would an apple store need to do it.

TIA

p.s. its just a normal macbook not a pro if that makes any difference

You can set it to tap-to-click in the meantime but yeah, if it's in warranty take it to Apple for sure.

Does yours have the removable battery? Sometimes they bulge as they age (which is often replaced for free!). This warps the case and stops easy clicking.

yh it does, would i get a free one even out of warranty?

@adscan £59 isn't too bad, how long is it in for?
It is done and ready to collect. It took just over a week. Mine is a late 2009 model. No removable battery.

Not a bad price. I was expecting it to be over £100
