hey guys, I have recently built a gaming rig and have been having some issues with connecting to the internet. I have absolutely no idea what to do and was hoping you guys could help:).
From day one, when I boot up the computer in the little symbol for internet connection there is a little yellow exclamation mark. when clicked it tells me "unidentified network" and no internet access. Sometimes restarting the computer it will disappear and internet will work fine or right clicking and opening the network and sharing centre I disable the Ethernet and troubleshoot it which also sometimes after numerous attemps provides a short term fix. Most of time after the troubleshoot it tells me that the problem has "not fixed, Ethernet doesn't have valid ip configuration" im hoping you guys will read this and its something simple and easy to fix. Anyway thanks in advance for any help

no problems with phones, tablets but I remember a having issues connecting xbox to the internet a few years ago but that was wireless. It was resolved by my dad ringing the ISP and they did something and the xbox worked. I've asked my dad if he could remember what they did and he cant. ps im running windows 8 and the provider is orange/ee

Run ipconfig and report back with the IPv4 Address, the Subnet Mask and the Default Gateway.

Are you connecting to the router using Powerline adapters? If you are double check that they're working correctly.
