Unidentified network activity

I have recently found that when I leave I.E 7 with 2 tabs, Skyplayer and BBC iPlayer there is some unidentified network activity. I'll be downloading and uploading at roughly 20Kb/s.

It's only recently I've noticed this, what's going on essentially?
 
Aye, well, I sort of figured that is could be the reason, but hopefully somebody knows.

Or perhaps I have something more sinister on my system and need to let Kaspersky fly through it. Odd though, because apart from iPlayer and Sky, I don't use I.E. for anything else apart from eBay's selling pages.
 
I think the Iplayer and the like use a peer to peer system?

I notice with channels like 4.O.D on YouTube I will be uploading even when streaming is complete, not tried Iplayer so can't say for sure.

EDIT: It appears they don't use a peer to peer system anymore, hmm. It could be Internet Explorer doing it's periodic updating of things like RSS feeds, that safe search thing, any accelerators enabled.
