Unigine Heaven 4 benchmark

Firstly , you need to post a screenshot , not a file. So you need to upload the screenshot to imageshack or similar and post up the forum link it will give you.

Secondly , don't spam post , you'll get peoples back up, use the edit function to avoid spam posting.

OK Thanks. I looked at the instructions and this was not at all obvious which was why I asked a couple of further questions. You can see from my join date that I am a newcomer to these forums. I have edited my previous post to combine two into one, but I am very surprised that posting a couple of separate on-topic questions to a forum can be considered by anyone as spamming. I was interested in this forum for the same reasons as everyone else here so attempted to join in but it was more difficult than I anticipated, hence the requests for clarification.

Are you ok now with how to post images ?

If you give the guys a chance on this forum they are very helpful.:)

Yes, thanks, Kaapstad. I was just filling a couple of hours late last night and as there were some others currently online and browsing the forum I thought someone might point me in the right direction straight away. I'm not offended, just surprised. It is very often difficult for experts to remember that what is obvious to them may not be for others :)

I'm very impressed by some of the scores achieved and curious about getting a safe overclock from my 290s. As heat seems to be the limiter on these cards I am thinking that my Aquacomputer-equipped pair might post something reasonable. I'm not interested in breaking them, however, so don't want to send too many volts through them.

I have just rebuilt my rig and want to get it tuned up, so I will probably post back later with my best efforts.

BTW, I realise that a validated score needs to have the integrated graphics turned off, but is this more likely to improve or reduce the overall system performance?

Upgraded to a PowerColor R9 290 PCS+ :)
Got it to 1140/1460 +20%PL on a stable run; anything more and all sorts of weird stuff started happening. Not sure why the temperature is saying the figure in the screenshot :p according to HW Monitor it was hovering around 60 degrees at its highest.

Chip is the same as before; FX8320 @ 4.5 but now using an H80i.

I'm getting this strange stutter (more like black screen then new scene rendering) during my runs mins dips are very low like 9-10fps.

I was running my CPU stock @ 3.8 and now at 4.5 its still doing the same.

Anyone have an idea what it is ?

Hi,

Did you change the voltage at all to get to 1140MHz on the core? I have two of the earliest R290s and even with the power limit set to 100 on MSI Afterburner, Heaven will not complete much past 1050 to 1060 core. I don't mind giving it a little more juice as they are water-cooled and the temps never go above about 60 but I really don't want to risk damage to my hardware. Any suggestions?

As a relative newcomer to this forum, I would also be grateful for advice from any others on how to post using spoilers so that the images are not always shown.

Thanks

You will have to increase the voltage slightly to get 1140mhz on the core. I don't own a 290P so I am not sure of what to increase it by but I think one of the guys will answer it for you.:)
