I wanted to break 190fps

Score 4828, GPU 2080 Ti @2040/3950, CPU 4790k @4.5, Guest2
Looking in Afterburner monitoring it lowers to 2010Mhz core for the majority of the benchmark. Most these scores will depend on thermal throttling wont they? Unless eveyone is giving their core speed that holds for the duration of the benchmark

here's my updated score.

running a 3900x overclocked to 4.4ghz all core, g.skill trident z neo 3600mhz set to 17,20,20,38 and a zotac rtx 2080ti (core @2100mhz and ram @8000mhz effective) all under custom watercooling from ek, my ram's letting me down cl17, but i have some 8pack ripped modules on order (cl14) so may take another crack at it

getting stutters at the beginning of some scenes too, what could be causing that? (castle part at night especially)
A drop to 10fps usually indicates (or has for me) that the overclock is not stable. The gpu/cpu will throttle right back causing the low fps
I would expect a newer cpu like yours and higher overclocked gpu under water to get into the 5000-5300 score range

I've always had this issue on Intel or AMD, i checked my temps on cpu and gpu all were cool (68 degrees cpu, gpu 51degrees) and noticed no cpu throttling (4.4ghz all the time), i did notice that my card was between 2020 and 2100mhz during the whole run, the beginning scenes my fps at the lowest was around 53 fps and max 267fps but as above the night castle scene tanks down to 10fps, then near the end with the windmill is shoots up to 330ish fps.

I've moved the program over to my storage ssd and when my new ram arrives I'll give it another shot, maybe reduce my card to 2ghz and no more?

EDIT: just re ran the benchmark and got better results, i changed my cards power management mode from adaptive to max performance and no fps dip, better overall score too :), gpu hovered around 2085mhz instead of dipping down to 2020mhz

same as before 4.4ghz all core 3900x and 2080ti (core 2100mhz, ram @8000mhz effective)

i have cl18 ram atm which could be down to lower scores :(, but i have on order some 8pack ripped 3600mhz cl14 which should give a nice boost once installed
Not sure on that to be honest as havent heard of cl18 memory but have been out of touch with RAM/Motherboard and CPUs for some time now.

I'm using some old DDR3 stuff from years ago. 4x4GB sticks of HyperX.
CPUZ says;
DRAM frequency 800Mhz
FSB : RAM 1:6
9,9,9,27,128, 2T
PC3-10700 (667 Mhz)
XMP 1.2

cl is the cas latency of all pc memory and for best performance it's best to get the lowest number, downside low timing's ram usually costs more due to higher binning

cl9 timing ram is very quick even for ddr3, amd's 3rd gen ryzen loves fast ram, i only wish i'd bought some when i first got the cpu, but i had dominator platinum's cl18 from my hedt 7900x build and wanted to keep them as the rgb was gorgeous, still better late than never eh, and if 4th gen releases by the end of the year having cl14 ram will be perfect :)

Sorry Kaapstad, final one from me for a while. Under air on a warm day I don't think it's bad

I hope I've done this right. What are the 2 figures in the GPU clocks?

Score 4454, GPU 2080 Ti @ 1650, CPU 10980XE @ 3.0, Coojeekitten

very nice score piped me by less than 10 points, a tip try enabling max power mode with in NVIDIA control panel, i did the same and noticed a fair jump in my score, you'll find your min fps will go up to around 30-50fps mark which will help the overall score by a few hundred points.

got some cl14 ram on order so may take one more crack, see if i can get close or above 4500 XD

I'll try that thanks. How do I list the GPU clocks correctly?

You're right, max power gave a small improvement.

I'm still not sure I know how to enter the GPU clock info correctly. :/

have you got any kind of gpu monitoring software installed? if not get msi afterburner of gpu-z both will show the max clock of the gpu core and memory, gpu-z will allow you to show max, min and average of core and ram, where as msi afterburner will show the max clock the gpu core hit and the ram speed.

tbh i was expecting your score to go up a bit more, mine was 4220 and when i adjusted the power option i hit my pb of 4446

Sorry, had wine then went to bed! I have GPU-Tweak/GPU-Z installed. That's where I'm getting the 1650 figure. I've no idea where to get the second figure. :/

where the home tab is to the right is gpu-z launch that app and under the sensors tab click on the core clock 2 times to show the max clock it hits when the gpu is under load. :)

i could be wrong but it looks like your card boosts to 1650mhz and no more, which is odd as gpu boost 3.0 should increase that at stock upto 1900-2000mhz usually
