Surprised by that. I managed to get over 10K with a 2080Ti and a 2700X. Thought the 3090 would be better than that TBH, and that's coming from someone who tried desperately, albeit unsuccessfully, on launch day to buy one. Now waiting to see what AMD bring to the party instead.

Wow.

I used to have a desktop PC (custom built watercooled system, volt-modded etc.), but I'm really chuffed with my newest gaming laptop and you're getting almost three times the performance from your desktop / RTX3090!
