I know how to do it, but I've seen people say that it's best just to do a complete format?

I'm pretty much replacing every single part in my PC tomorrow except for the hard drive.

What would you advise? Complete format or simple removal of the drivers?

You can just remove the chipset drivers. I done it recently as a power surge burst my MSI Neo 4 Platinum's BIOS and I lost my overclock. My drives were full of data  so I just burnt it all to DVD and then I reformatted.

I'd suggest you format in this situation but the above info is just for a headsup as it could save you hassle in the future if you ever run into a problem like mine. BUY SURGE PROTECTORS :( .
