Uninstallation of NVIDIA drivers problem

I upgraded from an 8800GTX a couple of days ago to a 4890. I followed the uninstall guide for Vista 64 by going to add/remove programs and uninstalling the Nvidia stuff. I restart, run driver sweeper, and restart again. I also deleted the nvidia folder after this to make sure.

However it seems something has gone wrong and everytime Windows loads up, it tries to load up some nvidia stuff, and gives me a load of RunDLL errors. My computer runs fine after they have popped up. I also can't run ATI Tray Tools because I can't seem to install the low level drivers, which I imagine must be related to this nvidia stuff.

Much appreciated if someone can help me fix this!

did you reboot into safe mode? you need to do this as otherwise some of the remnants of the drivers get loaded up and so cant be deleted, if you didnt then boot into safe mode (press F8 during boot) and run driversweeper again, then reboot, its prob also worth running CCleaner and doing the registry sweep after that, get rid of all broken dll's
