Does anyone still use them programs that maintain your pc by cleaning up space? i used to love them in 98 and xp days. but in windows 8 is that important? most av-suites include them.

I am wondering if for windows theres a program that displays all installed programs and versions then can check centrally for updates to them. ideally have its own in taller and may be away to browse software sort a like google play store or linu- has.

Support for drivers too would be nice. i am ideally wanting to backup my software sorta so another rig can mass download and update.

even go as far as checking for android version sofy our apps

CCleaner is decent and works well at clearing out the junk. For the software update checking, FileHippo do an update checker that works brilliantly. Secunia PSI does the same thing (and recognises a few extra programs) but is buggy under Win 8.x ime.
