uninstalling Windows 7 RC1

i never tried the Beta, and download and installed successfuly the W7 RC a couple of months ago.

i installed it over a copy of Vista Basic on a laptop purchased couple of years ago.

now when it comes to the deadline and W7 starts restarting every couple of hours, how can i go about uninstalling the OS and going back to Vista Basic? and hopefully keeping my documents?

is it possible, i dont have much on this laptop, just use it for internet browsing when my main pc is in use by others.

What I would do is, copy your docs onto say a usb flash drive. and then format the comp and put whatever OS you want on at that point. then after that is all done, copy back the docs.

You can also keep all your documents by putting them on your c drive in a new folder, then reinstal your windows vista, after installation go back into your c drive and your documents would be there. just dont format your drive.

hopefully it will work when the time comes, i dont wanna go back to Vista

but the laptop pretty rubbish anyway.
