Universal package manager possibly coming

Just read this. Sounds like inadvertently Ubuntu may have created a universal package manager that all Linux distro may use in the future.

This would make life a little bit easier for admins.
 
It does sound great, I am kind of wanting to upgrade just for that, but nothing is really broken... Also I have Mint, not sure how to upgrade within Mint...

As long as Snap is used in moderation, its widespread adoption will be great.

Only "issue" is that sandboxing breaks minor integration functionality with desktop environments (Telegram and message count icons, for example).
