goood day all,

im currently in the USA and was looking to buy a PSU.

however im concerned that when i bring it to the uk it wont work as there are different electricity supplies in the uk than there are in the usa.

so does anyone know if it will work???

basically i dont want it to blow when i turn it on back home.

thanks

It should work, but you will need to change the voltage switch on the back of the psu to 230 which is UK standard if it is not already set at that. You may also need to get the plug that comes with the UK psu's. Not sure if America has different plug sockets.

yeah america has 2 pin plugs...

but the psu dosent come with a power lead.. which i have already purchased.

do all psu's have a switch on the back ?

if not how do i know that they have one ?

ok im looking at the specs of a psu:

Specifications

AC INPUT 115V/230V - 60/50Hz
DC OUTPUT +3.3V +5V +12V -12V -5V +5VSB
1000W Max
Combined

1000W

does that mean it will work in the UK?
