Universal Steering Wheels?

So I've been toying with the idea of a steering wheel since Forza 2, and now with the release of F1 and soon GT5 I'm considering it even more so.

Question is though, are there any decent ones for both PS3 and 360? I'm not really up for the money sink or the space usage of having one for each.

If it weren't for GT5 being PS3 exclusive then I'd just get a 360 one, and getting F1 for ps3 is not a solution, I prefer my 360, and my mates will have that version?

Any thoughts?

Apart from just get the PS3 version with a driving force GT wheel and play with some other people then its two options TBH.
1)Think the only wheel solution is a Fanatec wheel thats around the £250 mark
2) Find space for 2 wheels as it works out cheaper, but the wheels arent as good as the Fanatec one.

The only cross platform wheel (PS3/PC/360) is the Fanatec Porsche 911 Turbo S, www.fanatec.de

It's pricey, but worth it, if you have the money..

They are expecting to sell out by end of November, and once gone, it is unlikely there will be any other cross platform wheel again.

I sold a kidney and got their final 'ultimate' version, which has the wheel + their awesome all alloy clubsport pedals (load cell pressure sensing brake pedal with feedback motor, and fully adjustable/tweakable with additional tuning kits), and despite costing £350 ish, it's a good investment..

You can get the 'pure' version for £200, but that is literally the wheel only, it comes with leads to connect to the MS Wheel pedals, Logitech G25/G27 pedals, or you can buy their basic set for £40 (includes clutch)..

[edit] Beaten by Smalls again!!!

Hmm it is a tough one.

Really nice looking gear on their site, although a bit pricey. Don't think I'm enough of an enthusiast to fork out that much. Unless I can find someone doing a good deal on a second hand, I might have to just buy one for each console.

Cheers for quick responses though, problem solved :D

The problem is, a decent wheel for each will be £200 in total, for £50 more, you could get the Turbo S 'pure' edition + their standard pedals..

But I hear you, £250 on a wheel is an 'investment', which most people can't justify.. I put it off for 8 months, but caved in eventually, and tbh, I'm so glad I bought it, it's such a quality bit of kit, and really enhances any driving game..
