Firstly, I know I'm very late applying for uni so you don't need to tell me.
2 weeks ago I applied for uni and today I got a letter from UCAS telling me all the uni's I applied for have made me an offer. I applied for: Liverpool Uni, John Moores, Edge Hill and Liverpool Hope. On the letter it showed the conditions I needed to meet in order to get into Liverpool Uni - an A and B in my Double Award ICT course, and a Distinction in my BTEC course. Although on the UCAS/Track site, it says different - it says I need a B and a C in ICT, so I don't know what's going on there. The rest of the uni's just require a certain amount of UCAS point, which I should be getting enough of for all of them.
Now, I'd really like to go to Liverpool Uni but I don't think I can meet their requirements. I'm on a for C/D in ICT and a Merit in BTEC. So my initial thought was to decline Liverpool and make John Moores my firm and Edge Hill my insurance. But then I thought, why would Liverpool make me an offer when they knew my predicted grades (C/D, Merit)? So in school today I asked the head of 6th form and she said she wasn't sure, which wasn't very helpful.
So here's where I'm stuck. Do I accept Liverpool and risk not getting in, which would be a waste of a place I could get in Edge Hill or do I decline Liverpool and accept Edge Hill when Liverpool might accept me anyway regardless of not meeting the requirements?
I'm just looking for some general advice really. What would you do in my situation? I'm not very knowledgeable on the whole University thing, like I said I only really started wanting to go 2 weeks ago.
Thanks
