Chris1712 said:I know its really not much at all! It's something i should be easily able to do in anything else. I just find the course hilariously poor, as do the rest of my class (Jackoh, andy2k and Gaza2004 who occasionally post here). The teaching is just of such poor quality that it makes it very hard to squeeze any satisfaction out of the course, let alone a quality peice of work. One teacher was so poor we actually managed to get him booted out the college by the management, after showing our 'evidence'. And it hasn't improved anything this year. As it stands i'm just aiming to come out of the course with something, anything.
I really wished i'd just taken 3 a levels, done no work turned up for the exam got 3 d's and come out much better than i can hope to even if i work my ass off for the remainder of this course.

due to the interview.Depends what you want to do there. I'm going to do comp sci & networking and they have a good networking department. The whole comp sci dept is pretty good, and the profs seem alright to me.jidh007 said:Is plymouth really that bad? I'll be taking a look at other universities anyway, early days yet for me! Cheers for the replySame here. Went to Bristol, Nottingham and Manchester in dirty ripped jeans and a hoody. They all gave me offers below the norm due to my interviews. I wouldn't want to go somewhere that would judge me more on my clothes than my personality/intelligence and my mother agreed.Psyk said:I went in jeans, T-shirt and trainers to my interview (only really had one proper interview when applying to universities) and it didn't affect my chances. I got an offer which in the end I met, although I chose somewhere else.

Theres a reason unions arnt great at other uni's, its cos theres better things to do!!
Placement scheme is good though i got to spend 13 months with HP.Yeah my interview was at Imperial. Didn't have an interview as such at Bristol, I was just invited for an open day and the staff had a list of applicants to talk to. So I'm guessing they weren't expecting anything formal. A few people at the Imperial interview were wearing suits but plenty weren't.SaBBz said:Same here. Went to Bristol, Nottingham and Manchester in dirty ripped jeans and a hoody. Ask questions, if anything, this will buy you some time but it shows you actually have an interest in whatever you are studying
