UNIX AIX

[Whoop]

Hi all,

I've dropped in to the deep end at work and need a pointer in the direction of some useful literature. We have 3 win2k/2k3 servers which I'm quite happy with but we also have some ERM software running on UNIX AIX.

This I know little about....

Its AIX 5.2.0.0 and I know one of the main things we need to do is install a compiler (preferably GNU) but firstly is there a book or two that I can buy that would benefit me the most on learning about this particular system?

Google up AIX Toolbox for Linux Applications (which is actually the other round, it's Linux Applications Toolbox for AIX, but I guess it's one of the bigdickizms, like "Microsoft Windows Services For Unix" where in fact it was Unix Services for MS Windows if anything).

As for installing a compiler on aix, install gcc.
