Is there a way to store logon credentials from an XP machine on a Unix box?

Yeah, like an active directory system I guess. i.e. the user enters their username and password and it goes off to the unix box to verify. Then when logged in, that users My Docs, etc is available (not stored locally)

You want to integrate with an existing AD system, or you just want domain-esque control like AD on a purely *nix network?

Just want domain-esque stylee!
