Unjailbreaking Question

So, last week I thought I would jailbreak my phone for the first time. All went fine, I basically just ran and installed redsn0w. I then proceeded to mess about with the new features, Cydia and so on. Everything was working fine, life was good.

That night I then dropped it. The screen went white. It is still white, no matter how many times I restart the phone. The screen is dead. So, for a start - I think I'm cursed for that happening for the first time ever literally hours after I void my warranty after I've had the phone for 6+ months, then I wonder how to fix it.

It is still under warranty I assume, however I am a bit scared of taking the phone in to the shop and therefore voiding the warranty, if they detect it has been jailbroken. To avoid this I have plugged the phone in, and restored it as a new phone, and not synced anything.

Is that enough for me to be safe taking in to the Apple shop, and not voiding the warranty? I do also have insurance on the phone, but that would take longer and involve paying an excess.

Thanks.

Should be enough, but the warranty doesn't cover physical damage (dropping) so you're stuffed anyway.

Gah, I didn't know that.

Looks like it will be an insurance situation anyhow then. Still, worth taking it in to the shop on the off chance I guess before the papers come through for that.

Thanks guys.
