I was wondering if anybody could help me out here.

1st of all my specs.

XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770
Asus P5Q-SE2
4GB OCZ @ 800 mhz DDR2 - Altho it says it's supposed to be 1066mhz.
Q8300 @ 2.5 Ghz - no overclock
600w Storm PSU

Sometimes when i play very demanding games on my pc i get a black screen and my computer completley restarts. Iv'e checked my temps and sometimes my GPU will go as high as 96c (BFBC2 maxed out) and my cpu maxes out at 57c.

Getting a restart is almost certain when i play bfbc2 but im not so sure if it's the temps because when i run Furmark on stabillity test it stays at 96c and there is no crashes.

Iv'e ran prime 95 for my cpu for a good 20 mins and still had no issues and sometimes ill get a crash at random.

Any Advice :(?

Download Mem Test to double check your ram. Ideally you need to run Prime for a good couple of hours, When I had problems with my system it would show only after 1hr 15mins.

Run Vantage or 3D Win Mark 2006 to double check gpu.

Also I don't like the sound of the PSU, cheap!! £ 18.00 for 620w.

Yes i think the PSU is pretty crap too D: but could that be th reason for one of my other problems?

When i set my fan speed to %100 i can hear it spinning ( like a jet engine :S ) but when i run furmark i can hear the fan speed drastically slow down.

Seriously? Iv'e been a gamer for quite some time now building and upgrading pc's and i never knew this. I thought all PSU did the same kinda thing.

Tbh, ive seen OCuk staff advise people not to get their PSU's.
A good 850w PSU would be £100+ while thts £40 cheaper....says it all really.
As my Maths teacher used to say 'You get what you pay for'

So can any of you guys please suggest PSU?

P.S I have an BZXT case where the PSU is at the bottom so ill need one that will reach my 4 pin slot for my CPU.

Run them both at once to see does that crap PSU explode or has it protections. (or do other components get fried first because of dirty power)
Even if it originally were actually good for 300-400W probable cheap crap capacitors are reaching design goal (=failure) after few years.

...BeQuiet, Zalman are good brands
Both use cheap capacitors commonly.
Out of PSUs currently stocked by OcUK Corsair is only one which always (low end CX400 exception) uses high quality capacitors.
Antec TruePower New should also have them and those Sapphires should be made by Enermax and also use high quality caps.
