unknown device after installing vista 64

have you installed these drivers..
soundcard
video
motherboard
sata?
network
 
I assume you have tried searching for the drivers using Windows Update. And that you have looked through device manager to see if there is anything obvious missing from the list.

Normally what I would do is to get the device id from device manager, which will look like:
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0091&SUBSYS_02C210DE&REV_A1\4&243D7BD0&0&0070

Then googling around for it, or looking at specific parts (like VEN_10DE) to see if I can work out what it is.
