Unknown Device

Just done a new build and i have an unknown device in Device Manager and i aint got a clue what it is. Ive installed everything i can think of but no luck.

Is there anyway way i can possibly find out what it is?

its under other devices. When i try to update the drivers it finds nothing. :confused:

Ive got an Asus A8N32-SLI mobo.

for me i had 2

floppy disk controller + WDM drivers for my gfx card

on my old asus board i had a one untill i installed asus probe

Install the motherboard drivers from your motherboard manufacturers website. It happenned when I installed Vista beta, It didn't go away until I installed the vista drivers for my motherboard by chance (I was using the XP ones which I thought it had installed properly).

Could try:
Unknown Device Identifier
No idea how good it is, saw it suggested on here but there was never any feedback on it. And I don't have an unknown device to test it on

sorted this now, it was a CPU driver
