This is going to be a long one as I have tried so many things and this has been going on for over a month.
It first started on my previous setup: i9 9900k, Maximus XI Formula, 32GB Corsair Vengeance Pro, Asus RTX 2080, custom watercooled, 1tb 970 evo Pro m.2, ax1200i psu, seagate 4 tb backup drive & 4tb hdd. The system had been working fine for a good couple years until the reboots started. Initially I thought it may have been a psu, m.2 or mobo issue. I was on the verge of upgrading everything so decided to instead of checking what was causing the issue.
I now have i9 12900k, z690 formula, 64gb dominator ddr5, asus 3080ti tuf oc gfx card, custom watercooled with EK velocity2, momentum2 and reflection2 distro.
The only things I kept from previous setup was the m.2 and psu.
The issues started up again just after I completed my loop a couple weeks ago. Since then, I've tested literally everything in the system. I've pulled everything out and tested the system just with one stick of ram (testing all 4 individually), and eps and atx cables attached. I even tested the psu with a psu tester and with a multimeter and everything checked out fine. I removed m.2 drive with os and managed to get to bios yesterday. That gave me the opportunity to use memtest. I only used the free version with 4 passes but I ran it twice with all 4 sticks installed and passed both times.
Thinking this could be an issue with the m.2 or the slot it was in, I installed it in another slot. The issues started up again. This made me think I'd found the culprit. I removed the drive again to still face the issues. I reset cmos using the button on side of board, removed the cmos battery for 5 mins and drained capacitors by holding power button for 20 seconds when powered off. The issues still remain.
After all this I don't understand why I'm getting the same issue with 2 different setups. Only the m.2 and psu were in both setups yet the m.2 being removed the 2nd time didn't solve the issue and the psu checks out volt wise and even the self test button passed as green.
I'm seriously confused and lost on this. I'm desperate for help as this has taken up over 4 weeks so far and I'm starting to get frustrated.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
