Morning guy's.

Got a bit of a problem with my system which I've never experienced before and can't figure out what it is.

I recently moved my setup from my upstairs room to the downstairs dining room and all was working fine. I start setting it up again 2 days ago and it couldn't boot to windows. After attempting to repair it, it couldn't do it and just kept going through the loading screens and then straight to the BIOS.

I decided on a clean install which seemed ok to start with but then my screen kept losing signal so I changed cables and even tried swapping from HDMI to displayport but the same thing happened. I tried another install on a second hdd which installed fine but as soon as I started installing the mobo drivers the screen lost signal again. I dont have a spare gfx card to test or on board graphics (Strix x99 board) so I'm unsure if it's a board issue or gfx card. I've even literally just done a hard reset twice which loads the rog screen with lots of white circles spinning round underneath but signal goes again. It's starting to baffle me why the same thing keeps happening on 2 different clean installs on 2 different drives. Please help. Thanks

Update: Dont know if this is relevant or not but I just had a look in BIOS under secure erase and it states the status of the drive is frozen. Also while navigating BIOS my cursor keeps freezing as if I'm getting lag. Very strange

You could go into bios and select Igd rather than peg and plug your monitor into the mobo and problem solve from there. At least then it's taking the gpu out of the equation for the time being.

Well it seems I've managed to sort it. I bought a new 4k HDMI to displayport cable which just turned up. Plugged it in and now its running (for now). It dont make sense as I was using a 4k HDMI cable from my ps4 and kept cutting out. Wonder why
