Unkown Device

I have just noticed in device manager that I have an Unknown Device listed. All of the hardware attached to my PC works fine, so I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. When I uninstall it and restart the computer, Windows re-detects it and asks for drivers for it. How can I find out what this piece of hardware is?

Whats your system spec? I get an unknown device with my X1800XT until I install the AVIVO drivers.

My spec is:

Asus A8N-SLI Premium
A64 X2 3800+
3gb RAM
X800XL.

Brilliant. In the details of the unknown device it mentions something about ACPI so this looks like it'll be it. Thanks!

Yup be on your motherboard driver disk.

I used to get an unknown on my A8R, i just put the mobo driver CD in, and told it to search for the driver its self, and it was an ACPI thing.
