Hey guys,

Just wondering if this even exists, I believe it does for Linux, but not for Windows.

I'm wanting to be able to run two monitors from one PC, two sets of kb/mouse and have them both logged into the same PC, one accessing something and one on the other.

Highly unlikely but worth a shot

Scenario:
Granddad has 1 PC
Daughter needs to use PC to do accounts but whilst this happens he wants to print labels or check emails

Thanks

Thanks BloomerzUK, I saw this earlier but the issue is the user who is going to be using it is elderly and wont know how to go through the steps to set it up every time

Not sure of the answer to your actual question, but maybe if you outline the scenario we could come up with some other suggestions?

Software-wise then you're pretty much just looking at what has already been posted.

From a hardware view, I'd suggest getting a second cheap machine.

From a pragmatic view, if all he's bothered about is some emails and labels, can't they just do this at different times??

I've looked into this before. It's quite easy with Linux but it's very technical with Windows. There are a few applications that do it but they are all very technical, probably haven't been updated in years and might not really work very well at all. Your best bet is a VM and that won't necessarily be responsive, easy to maintain or use.

One idea could be to get your hands on a Raspberry PI (for example) and use it as a thin-client which remote desktops into the host machine automatically. As long as it connects in under a separate user account you should be able to have multiple connected users at once (probably depends on your windows edition mind).
