Hello. I would like to know how to unlock the FPS cap on these 3 games:

Battlefield 2 - locks at 100fps

Battlefield 2142 - locks at 100fps

Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium wars - locks at 30fps

The most important of them is C&C3 because the 30fps fram rate makes the game seem really slow.

b2 and 2142, you will find no advantage at getting more than 100fps, c&c3 i dont know about but the human eye cant detect 25, so anymore is fine tbh, why do you need it more??

Im sure the human eye can see past 25fps are you not thinking of anything past 60fps because i can easily see the difference between 25fps and 60 but anything over 60 i cannot

In movies motion blur is used to simulate movement & at 25FPS everything looks fluid & the human eye may very well not detect movement over this rate but for games it is different, without the motion blur you need a much higher frame rate(60-100fps) to simulate proper movement.

I want to see BF2 run at more then 100fps just for benchmarking purposes and C&C3 I do notice a lag. It might be because I have eveyrhting up at max and thigns such a texture and terrain which are so detailed it makes it seem as it is lagging with all that wizzing past on screen. I would love to see the game runs a 60fps+.

Have a read: http://amo.net/NT/02-21-01FPS.html

Personally I don't think there is any one number we can put on it, but one thing I do know is that I find e.g. 125fps smoother than 75fps.

Of course with TFTs taking over it is getting rarer and rarer that people have screens capable of displaying over 75fps, unfortunately.

This is how too unlock bf2142 + 2
type in this game.lockfps 1000
you have to type it in the comand console.

Edit too slow. :(

WOW! I got a rough max FPS of 350FPS! is that amazing or what lol

Also I locked the fps at 30... and wow its crap lol when you get to about 50 then its really smooth 60+ is amazing though

ah... that was at 1024x798 if i put it to 1280x960 it goes to a max of about 240fps still very good though :p

I currently only have a 19" CRT monitor :( the Monitor is the last thing I have to buy to finish my setup since I have only just brought my new hardware

Ok, I tweak with a few settings and OC my GTX... and Im not totaly sure how I did it but now I am running at 1280x960 and have had a fps jump from 240fps to and max of 375fps... Now its getting a little silly
