Unlocked and overclocked but no temp in AMD overdrive

Hi, I've got a Phenom 2 x3 2.8ghz which I have overclocked to 3.5 with a slight voltage increase. The added bonus of the voltage increase is that I've finally managed to unlock the fourth core. I was gonna do a stability test but i noticed that, in AMD overdrive, the cpu cores arent showing any temps but they were when I hadnt unlocked the core.

Is there anyway I can monitor the temps?

Thanks :)

Turn the clock down without dropping the voltage, start with it at stock speeds but at the volts your at now and make sure its stable there first. Then work your way up from there, but keep an eye on the temps too.

The CPU temp should still show its just the core temp that goes screwy on an unlock?? What boards are you both on? The individual core temps weren't correct in the first place anyway. You should be reading off the boards CPU sensor anyway not the one thats reported as core.

Gigabyte 790xta

HWmonitor has three temps
Tempin0 42deg
Tempin1 49 deg
Tempin2 54 deg

Is it these I should be using
Are these not a bit on the high side at idle
Using scythe big shuriken
OCCT test puts them 42/75/62 deg + within 30 secs of the test starting

I think on Gigabyte its usually TMPIN1 for the cpu but am not 100 percent sure. But looking at the temps it makes sense for the CPU to raise its temperature quickest under load so TMPIN1 would make sense.
As for the temp yeah I think your a little high but cant remember the max on the x3

Ok, I've unlocked the fourth core.. dropped the multiplier and I'm now running the CPU at 3.3Ghz. The stability test has been running for about 10 minutes, all seems ok, and the temperature is showing as 54 deg at full load.... is that within acceptable parameters or is it oo hot?

Sorry for all the qestions but I'm a total n00b at this :D

OK think thats near enough AMDs recommended max voltage for that so dont get carried away adding a ton more vcore and you should be alright as long as the temperature stays under control.
