unlocking amd HELP!!

i need help unlocking a amd sempron 140 on a gigabyte motherboard.

when i unlock it in bios and restart pc it says on start up screen that its a athlon II x2 4400e

it does not detact my hard drive, dvdrw or memroy. and i cant access the OS.

im using OCZ gold 2gb - could this be the problem?

i reset cmos and im only able to overclock single core, no fun... need to unlock!! thats why i brought it.

if its a faulty core will overclockers except return??

im not to sure on the problem there it could be faulty but one things for sure ocuk would not accept return on that because they sold it you as a sempron 140 not a athlon ii x2 4400e and im not quite sure if unlocking makes the warranty void on it or not, but either way good luck

Can't see them accepting it back as faulty.

Its a single core and its working, unlocking cores is a chance you take.

I would be surprised they will would accept a RMA, the cpu is a single core and is sold as one, belongs the single core is running fine then the only option is sell that and get another one.
