Unlocking core voltage?

Is there anyway of unlocking the core voltage so I can improve it, currently when I try to change it on msi afterburner but it dosent do anything! Is there a way of unlocking it? I have a r9 290 powercolor

In settings you should have a screen looking like this. Check the options which enable voltage control and monitoring and also disable ULPS and extend official limits although the latter is unlikely to yield much on a standard card:

If it's a 280x/290x this might work if the above doesn't, like it didn't on mine ^

There is a Profiles sub folder in MSI Afterburner and file VEN_1002*.cfg inside. You have to put these changes into it.
