Hi there I just want double confirmation that I am doing everything right and that the dormant cores are actually busted.
I have a GA-M720-US3 Motherboard with F6 Bios
AMD Phenom II Black Edition 555 6 MB cache
Asaka Vemon Heat sink.
I have gone into Adv core calibration Set that to Auto The cores that show 2% on all the cores (4)
After attempting this I saved BIOs and restarted comp it gets half way through loading windows before blue screen of death.
I have also given it a try with increasing the voltage to the CPU 0.25 and 0.5 (sorry if not correct in the dessimal point (cant see the bios atm) and again half way through windows i get blue screen.
Is there any other things I can try or should I give up now and focus on just over clocking it.
Thanks for reading
