Factory Unlocked (bought direct from Apple)
Officially unlocked (through your network, admin fee payable)
Jailbreak Unlock
Is there any other way, like from your 'local' phone shop?
I'm after a 3GS on the 'bay but I keep seeing cheaper phones that are on networks, I'm on Virgin so I've been looking at unlocked, but can I officially unlock them by phoning the networks or does it have to be the owner while it has their sim card in?
