Unlocking my Nokia 6230

Good morning,

I have a Nokia 6230 locked to the Orange network which I am planning to sell on an auction site. I feel that it would increase the sale value of the listing if the item were to be unlocked to any network.

I remember a Nokia program that was floating around on these forums that generated the codes for free, however after a quick search it did not turn anything relevenat up.

Could someone please tell me if it is possible to unlock this phone by myself?

I just tried my mum's Vodafone SIM card in my Orange phone and to my astonishment it works!

Unfortunately I haven't got another SIM card to try it out, but I am guessing that the phone may be network free

Does the fact that my mum's vodafone SIM card work in my Orange phone mean that the phone is unlocked?
