Unlocking Sagem

Alright fellas, first post in this section.

I have a relic of a phone - a 'Sagem MW 3020' with a T-Mobile sim card. Not long ago recieved some free sim cards from O2 but have not been able to use them due to my phone being locked or something.

Is there an easy and free way to unlock my phone so I can use an O2 sim?

I just tried putting the sim into the phone again and it says sim lock and asks me for a number. Does this mean the phone is actually locked or the actual sim card needs to be activated or something?

Please help.
