Unlocking The Dog and Bone?

"Dog and bone" uncockneyfied = Smartphone

Is it possible to unlock a phone for free by just downloading software from the internet or do I need dongles, cables/connections ?
If so, please post the links.

If not, and you wanted to unlock it online, which specific website would you recommend using.
Generally speaking, how long does to process take?
How would you pay for it, PayPal or CC?
(No "just search on google" or "I got mine on eBay" replies, please. Just specific sites).

I've been quoted £20 at a local shop/market stall. I'm not sure if that's a rip off or not.

Phone: Note 4. Carrier: Vodafone (I'm not a Vodafone customer. They seem to be charging £20 too).

Have you tried the Galaxy toolbox App? it will tell you the status of the phone (locked or not) at least.

You got me all excited, until I clicked the link and saw it was for the S4 and (maybe) not the Note 4.

That doesn't work. The phone doesn't recognise the code that's being entered on the dial pad.

You will need an unlock code. Should be fairly cheap.

Whenever you need to unlock just goto ebay and type in: Unlock code + phone model + network.
'Unlock code note 4 vodafone'

Buy from a seller that has sold quite a few. I hope this information helps you.
