Just wondering, as I can't get my 7900GTO past about 720 mem, it just doesn't like it.

ATI Tool makes my screen go kinda distorted and flicker, Rivatuner and Coolbits won't go anywhere near past 690 on Core or Memory.

Core does run fine at around 705 on ATI Tool though.

ATi Tool has been known to burn out cards, especially nVidia cards. Use Rivatuner or Coolbits and keep it to 690 like they say.

EDIT: Wasn't there some sort of unlucking trick for this card to get it to act like a GTX? Might be thinking of another card but you could look into that.

Yeah you can flash it to GTX but not sure if I wanna risk it :|

Most people can get to 800 Memory easily without the need to Flash =(

You can flash it to GTX speeds but you need to find out if it will do those speeds first by overclocking to 800mem. Otherwise you will bork the card!

Maybe you need more cooling coz it should do more than what your getting!
Sits around 40 degrees idle and up to 60 on load : <

Does my PC's PSU have much to do with it?

I'd guess not I mean it's not exactly a huge boost I guess, I get minor screen distortion when I use ATI Tool to up the mem, and ATI tool is the only app that lets me up it =/

Your psu wont make any difference, your temps are very similar to mine so what driver are you running on the card?

91.47 now ;]

And good, was hoping it wasn't a PSU issue.

The same problem occurs with 93.71 + 92.91

I have however been using Modified Drivers by XtremeG / dhZeropoint...etc

Whether that would make a difference to OC'ing =S.

91.47 is what i use, looks like you are one of very few with a card that dont clock very well. Sell it and get another

If its any consolation i run mine at stock in all my current games (Graw, css cod2) because i find the card fast enough even with min fps considered, never goes below 30 frames per secs. When i find it starts to struggle then i will o/c.

Yeah no troubles with FPS here really, always nice to see the difference when the card is and isn't OC'd though :p
