Unmountable Boot Volume

Tried loading up the laptop and it blue screens, and comes up with Unmountable Boot Volume.

I've put the windows 7 disc in to try and repair but all it does is goings to the loading files screen - any idea how i can get it to load the repair section?

no doesn't get to that bit.

It reads the disc and then just continues to loads windows 7, that loads up but all that is shown on the screen is the white cursor and black background.

yeah hard drive is fine as i can run windows memory test.

tried both my windows 7 original, a windows 7 recovery disc and the burnt windows 7 disc that was used on the laptop.
