Hi

I'm getting a unmountable_boot_volume screen on every startup, Windows 7 laptop. This happens when Safe mode and all the other options are selected too.

I have also tried booting into two Windows 7 discs, which I know work in other PCs, but they complete loading files then just hang with a white mouse pointer on the screen.

Is there any way I can fix this machine? Currently don't have access to any discs that I can make a Linux CD out of..

Are you able to move the Mouse pointer when it appears on screen? You may need to give it 10-20mins for the setup screen to appear. I always have the same Issue when Im installing Windows 7 with a Q6600 CPU.

Thanks for responding. Yes, I can still move the cursor, but I have literally left it on for more than a couple of hours and it remains at this stage .
