Unnacceptable B Grade item.

Right so I get that with B grade items some times there may be missing parts, such as I/O shields, adapters, cables etc that may not necessarily be used/required to use the item.

However I've just bought a 1440p monitor from the B grade section, arrived today, it even came with a DVI cable which I thought that's not so bad, monitor in decent condition. BUT no screws  so I can't even put the monitor on it's stand.

I know B grade is a gamble but surely this is unnacceptable as the product cannot actually be used for it's primary purpose upon purchase??

Has anyone had this before? Bit bitter as I wanted to use it over the bank hol.

Could probably buy some screws for about 50p, shops are open today.

If not then can always return. How big was the discount?

doesn't B grade mean it might not come with all original parts? as above screws are ridiculously cheap you could pick some up from a local store within 30 mins I bet.

Which monitor did you buy and does the monitor mount use the VESA mount ?

If it does use the VESA mount you want M4 10mm screws.

No

Contact the manufacturer and see if they can send out some screws. Your bank holiday is hardly ruined, just go to a hardware shop and pick up some screws.

Are you sure they aren't in there somewhere taped to something or in with the instructions. Sometimes embedded in the polystyrene somewhere too.

They aren't, the only thing it came with is a DVI cable.

There are two screws in the VESA mounts but they're not long enough to be used for the stand.

Also a DC power supply and not a kettle plug which it didn't come with either. :(

This "defies belief" :)

But on a serious note, I have had many items from the B-grade section and it is usually superficial stuff that is missing, not the critical items, power cord or base screws.
Send a e-note to CS, I am sure you will get it sorted.

I had this when (due to time requierements) had to help my in-laws get a new PC when visting for the weekend last year and had to revert to getting something from no competitor talk!. When we got it back unpacked the monitor and found it was missing part of the stand ... then looked at the box and found what we'd picked up as a new monitor had a customer return label on it! At least here its been described as B-grade and "may be missing bits" .... but agree that I'd have thought that it should be at least "functional"

I also purchased a monitor from the B grade section which arrived yesterday, but had no power supply, which as it appears to be a propriety connector (well, a 4 pin DIN with a different voltage) is a challenging one to source elsewhere. Already sent an E Note about it, but slightly narked as I'd paid for Saturday delivery and it's not usable...

Hazro has those propriety connectors was that the model of monitor :p

Poor show really you cant even try the thing... you can get them on ebay for £20 but that's not really

No, it's one of the DGMs.

Thankfully it's not particularly urgent - it's a dedicated screen for my race rig, still got my trusty Dell 3007WFP-HC as my main/normal monitor.

I wouldn't trust the bay for even a cable now; since i bought a cable to connect a c64 to a modern tv and it literally started to disintegrate after a year, the plastic crumbled.
