Unpark CPU cores for more performance.

+1, please let us know how you solved it.

I messed around and changed a Windows Power Setting ("Power" in Control Panel) and it looks like Downclocking happens immediately. Mine was set to "High Performance" before. Of course I assume that it up-clocks during gaming - will check tomorrow.

EDIT: Set it to "balanced".

Cant say i have notice any improvement yet, but also fair to say i never really noticed much if any stutter in the first place, unparked them all the same :)

That's correct - 'Max Performance' locks the CPU at its maximum multiplier, whereas 'Balanced' allows it do fluctuate depending on demand.

just tried COD ghosts again, shuttering is still here...

This fixed Ghosts for me. Butter smooth after un-parking cores. What OS are you on? Did you use the original method. I.e this one below?

It does seem to have improved the score.

Also noticed in Assetto Corsa (which is the only game I am really playing at the moment!) the fluctuations have disappeared in the FPS counter.

This should be a sticky :D Found this online by accident as I've just installed a gtx780 in my system and thought my frames in BF4 at ultra where less than exciting.

So I unparked the cores and performance jumped from 45 to 63 fps to 75-110 fps! This is the only setting I had changed (unless some windows update has done this without me knowing?) and beats any overclock! My cpu is a phenom 1100t and had 3 cores parked.

Better than any overclock I could have done :D
