Hi. I have 12900K stock

32 GB 2x16 GB DDR4 3600mhz

Palit Gamerock Pro OC rtx 4090

1300W Seasonic Platinum Prime

Windows 11 2H22. Updated new nvidia drivers.

I unplugged 3090 ti. And plugged Rtx 4090. And on first boot was black screen ( no signal ) on monitor, and motherboard was lightning in red. I waited 4 minutes then i heard windows 11 boot ring sound. And display appear. And its fine now. Why that happehed on first time? Just black screen no signal and red ligt in motherboard ( like before windows ). Now its fine. Should i worry?

Tested 3dmark and its fine.

Come on knock it off now, some of us here spend a lot of time trying to help people with real issues and not first time I have typed a long list of help and realised it was you again. You're wasting peoples time that actually want to help and putting such people off now with this behaviour.

Sorry :(Can you tell list of things to help with the issue?

Are you really having a problem ?

If so update your motherboard bios first to the latest version and also check if your monitor has a firmware update. If none of these help come back and state the error code on the motherboard.

This is if you are still having the issue, if it resolved on second restart or second boot from power off then it was the BIOS updating for new hardware changes, you should always clear the bios when new hardware like cpus or gpus or ram is added and then put the settings back in once system is up or check the settings are right, save bios and all should be good.

It happened on first boot. Then i wait some time,pc rebooted and signal appeared on screen. And red light led ( led near rams i think its cpu led ? ) on motherboard turns off.
Now working all ok. Should i worry about that ? Sorry just asking, dont wanna trolling or something. Just ask about that.

no i wouldn't worry if it's only happened the once. my pc blanked screen on boot the other day for some reason, never did it again (i've booted it many times since), i'm not worried about it. if it happens again then i'll worry.

It's the system recognising a hardware change so rechecking everything and memory training again probably and can cause this on first boot/POST. Which is very normal, but not normal if it keeps doing it after each power on.

Now pc booting normally fine. Happened on first boot after plugging new card. Ok thank so much for explanation. I should ask that in 4090 thread. And not creating that topic. But thanks again :)

The first time you changed the gpu or does it do it every time now too you start the pc up ? If it's not doing it anymore it means the system has identified all the hardware correctly and updated the bios settings, so all should be good from now on till you make another hardware change.

It could be down to the 12 pin adaptor. Go out and buy a fire extinguisher and keep it close to the PC at all times just in case.

Oh and you want CO2 and not a water one!.

I'm confused? Send me a PM or start a FCD thread if you like.

He has a habit of posting fake help needed posts or fake problems he's having and trolling people to waste their time to help him and then comes out with it only happened once or is it a problem if I lost one frame compared to last reboot or some other goofy thing... That is basically not any problem but trying to get people to reply and basically wasting their time.

I'm hoping he's got the hint now and stops it but so far he's opened another thread here since :- https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/t...sh-when-launching-watch-dogs-legion.18961688/

As you see above he said he was sorry because he knows he's doing it and other regular members have clicked to his games too and tease him back as you will see from the replies they give him because they know he's trolling and wasting peoples time.

@sewerino26 mods now have you in their sights so please stop with the wasting of time of people that actually want to help others on here with real issues. Don't end up banned as this forum has a lot of really helpful and experienced people that may end up really helping you with a real issue one day, so don't waste their time on one off's or made up issues. Your post history is there to see too, so no hiding from it.
