Unraid NAS Case

I just bought a Fractal Define R5 which I should have by Sunday, it can hold holds 8 hard drives so it'll do for a while but it's such a nice case that I'm thinking of using it for my main PC build and buying something else.

My plus licence means I can upgrade to 12 drives I'm not sure I'll ever need that many drives but what cases hold the most 3.5" hard drives that don't cost a fortune New or used?

Can you just get something that has loads of 5.25" bays in the front and fit a load of caddies in the front?

A lot of people have done that but it gets incredibly expensive.

I've thought about using one of those but I'm not sold on it. I'm beginning to think that I may have to do some modding if I don't wanna pay a fortune for a case.
