Unreal 3

Wow I picked this up ages ago in steam sale and never bothered with until this weekend as I read all the poor press it got on release but I am surprised it is a great game. the demo I tried ran like a dog on my old 8800gt but this is super smooth now and some of the maps arw HUUUUUUUGE.

I have been practicing offline at the moment but is the online still active?

I really like it to, i wonder why it never took off? It plays like any other unreal game and the visuals are pretty good to. At least the engine didn't go to waste

I Loved the other unreals but 3 just did not seem the same and it was visually sooooo brown and AA did not work which made it look crap.....

It came out at around the same time as COD4, was buggy at first and was marketed so badly. It never stood a chance sadly.
Shame as it could be really good fun when playing on the better maps.

UT2004 is more popular and is a much superior game to the dumbed down and overly dark UT3.

I doubt there will ever be an Unreal 3, sequel to Unreal 2, will there? Shame as I enjoyed both the previous Unreal single player games.

Really enjoyed this particularly the War game mode but it's pretty dead online.

If Unreal 3 ever gets released then im sure it will be awesome. Hopefully brand new tech and engine and make me sit with my jaw open like when I first saw the into to Unreal back in 1998 on my voodoo card. First ever reflections, huge maps, water effects, smoke/mist...

1998 games were pretty amazing - Unreal, Half Life, Starcraft, System Shock 2, Rainbow Six, Grim Fandango, Kingpin...

I actual fired this up again on the weekend, had a really good blast on team death match online. Racked up 100 kills in one match so much fun. Flack Cannon F.T.W!

By the way UT3 was made, you might as well buy Gears of War or get UT2004.

Also, please edit the title of this thread to UT3, because i got slightly excited then.
