Unreal Engine 4 Features Trailer -- GDC 2014

until i see the games working with it im not too bothered.

every engine looks awesome in trailers like these :p

they are pitching the use of it very cheaply so that might mean a lot choose it for games. which could be great if, its a good engine.

Considering most of the Indie games are using Unreal, I think that there will be more games to come that use UE4. When was the last time EPIC did a game for PC, was it Gears of War 1?

Imagine if Frostbite sdk was released to the public, maybe modders could have fixed BF3. :p

unity is one of the biggies a lot use. it will be good to have competition.

You always see spectacular demos, but it never appears as a game. A game has to have audio, player input, AI, etc. They also target the largest market, which includes low end machines, or consoles.

We could have games that look like the demo reels, but only if someone made games for high end PCs only, and that never happens for financial reasons.

Still, as an engine and toolset, it looks really good, and now seems to be doing a lot of the stuff that Crytek was doing a few years back.

Have to agree with what's mostly been said - gameplay videos will be more interesting but thanks for the videos :)
