Sweet jesus...I consider myself to be a pretty good gamer but after a few hours playing UT3 online last night, I feel like a complete gaming noob. Frenetic, hyper, fast paced, I just couldn't keep up...about 5 kills, 50+ deaths, guess this really isn't a game that suits me, prefer FPS with a little more tactics, stealth and a little slower...maybe i'm showing my age :D
 
UT has always been a game where if you stop moving for just one second, you're dead.

It's like Speed, don't go under 50.
 
Mateeeey I played games like BF2, CSS, COD, CS 1.6, BF2142 and back in the days UT :D i knew that if you stop in UT3 you might aswell play with a zimmerframe! no POINT!

STOP and you DIE!
 
Hadn't played a UT in years till UT3 came out. Totally forgot how nuts it is. But so is TF2 and I play that all the time. Get some caffein in you and snort some coke and get back on it.
 
yeaa when i started UT3 i was just strolling about the place :p you need to learn how to constantly look around you and double jump your nuts off the walls :D
 
i struggled to start with but am now used to it, like in other ut's i dont come first very often but 2nd place aint bad i guess :D
 
Yeah, at 34 I think I'm too old for the fast pace shooters now. I prefer the more sedate pace of COD4........plenty of bushes to hide in and basements to lurk in :) Tried Quake3/Live recently (used to be "my game") and I got totally obliterated......I couldn't believe how insanely fast it was :eek:
 
This thread makes me sad. :( I have a nice, shiny, unopened UT3 case sat with all my games. I really must get a new PC. Macs just don't cut it.
